China DailyThe world's largest dual-fuel ro-ro ship Wallenius, which is carrying more than 300 pieces of engineering machinery equipment, departed from Yantai Port in East China's Shandong province, and headed to Europe on May 16, marking that Yantai's ro-ro ship production and transportation sectors have reached a new high point. Since the COVID-19 response measures have been enforced on a regular basis, the shipping business of commercial shipping vessels has witnessed a rapid growth, providing a good opportunity for the global ro-ro shipping industry. In order to smooth out the international and domestic sea-rail combined transport channels, the port will leverage its unique advantages in the commercial vehicle business, promote the construction of a multimodal transport channel, foster new sea-rail transport routes, and develop itself into a key hub linking Japan and South Korea, as well as countries and regions in Central Asia and Europe, to help more domestic brands go global.
