Scooter rider without license runs over officer, attacks police after arrest

A 19-year-old man from Purmerend injured two police officers during his arrest on Friday after being stopped for riding a scooter without a helmet. The suspect, who also did not have a valid driver’s license, attempted to flee but was intercepted by an officer. The suspect was initially stopped by police for riding without a helmet. In response, the suspect deliberately drove into him multiple times, injuring the officer.
