Trump chooses Robert F Kennedy Jr for Health and Human Services

United States President-elect Donald Trump has picked controversial politician and vaccine sceptic Robert F Kennedy Jr to be Secretary of Health and Human Services, a job he lobbied for when suspended his own election campaign and supported that of the Republican candidate. “I am thrilled to announce Robert F Kennedy Jr as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services,” Trump wrote on Thursday on his social media platform, Truth Social. His priorities now focus on human health, addressing what he calls the “chronic disease epidemic” of conditions including obesity, diabetes and autism, and reducing chemicals in food. “Mr Kennedy will restore these agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!” Trump said in his statement.
