Read our privacy policy Kate Beckinsale has recreated Queen’s iconic music video for their song “I Want to Break Free” to celebrate Pride month. The British actor posted the clip to her Instagram, which sees her donning a fake mustache and a leather miniskirt, a la Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the classic video. She also posted a second clip of extra footage from the recreation, writing alongside it: “Extra queens collector’s edition.” The original “I Want to Break Free” video, from 1984, saw Queen dressed in drag. She said: “It can feel like a little bit of a political act to be a woman over 32 who’s having any fun at all.” In May, she alleged that convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein, who was formerly one of the most powerful men in Hollywood, had “psychologically tortured” her for years.
