Mizoram schools to reopen from February 22 for classes 9, 11
India TodayThe government of Mizoram has decided to reopen the schools in the state from February 22 for the students of classes 9 and 11, after being shut down for 11 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Education Department of the state said on Wednesday. The state government had reopened the schools for students of classes 10 and 12 in Mizoram from January 22, the Education Department said. The state government order on Wednesday said that normal classes for students of Classes 9 and 11 will start from February 22 with several Covid-19 guidelines in place and all students will have to undergo thermal screening before entering their schools. Hostels reopening in Mizoram Apart from the reopening of schools for higher classes in Mizoram, the state government has also said that students of Classes 9 and 11 will also be allowed to stay in hostels with effect from February 22, once the physical classes commence in the state.
