Labour ‘more trusted by Blue Wall voters to tackle crime’
The TelegraphLabour is now more trusted than the Tories to tackle crime, according to a poll of voters in crucial Blue Wall seats. A Redfield & Wilton Strategies survey conducted between Aug 26 and 27 found that 28 per cent of voters picked Labour and 21 per cent picked the Conservatives when asked which party they trusted most on crime. The Tories had been ahead on the issue in the previous poll conducted between Aug 12 and 13, securing the backing of 23 per cent of Blue Wall voters compared to 21 per cent for Labour. When asked which party they trusted most to support the NHS, some 33 per cent of Blue Wall voters picked Labour and 18 per cent picked the Conservatives. And when asked which party they trusted the most to manage the economy, some 28 per cent picked Labour and 24 per cent picked the Conservatives.
