Asylum seekers continue protests on Nauru

Asylum seekers say they have staged another protest at the Nauru detention centre, criticising living conditions and accusing authorities of treating them like criminals. Nearly 400 asylum seekers have been sent to Nauru since the offshore processing centre was re-opened last month by the Government. One detainee at the centre told the ABC asylum seekers are living in cramped conditions in tents, despite the searing heat. Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare has confirmed two boats carrying asylum seekers were intercepted on Friday.
