Kumaraswamy says reservoirs empty in Karnataka, AIADMK hopeful that Cauvery share to Tamil Nadu will be released

Even before being sworn-in as the Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy seems to have disappointed Tamil Nadu leaders and the people of the state. Kumaraswamy through multiple statements in the last two days has been trying to convey that Karnataka might be unable to release water to Tamil Nadu. Speaking in Tamil Nadu during a temple visit Kumaraswamy said, "The farmers in Karnataka too are in distress, reservoirs in Karnataka have no water for the last three years." And now, Kumaraswamy while talking about the farmers' distress in Karnataka said he visited the Srirangam temple in Tamil Nadu to seek lord Sriranganatha's blessings to get the nature on his side so as to get rainfall to share water from the reservoirs. On June 12 Tamil Nadu will once again wait for the water from Cauvery, but this time with an SC verdict in place and a Cauvery management authority in place will the farmers really get their due share of water or will it be a yet another disappointment?
