Hyderabad: In its first year, the Congress government has launched projects valued at over Rs 1 lakh crore as part of an ambitious plan to transform Hyderabad into a global hub by 2050, according to the state government’s performance report released as part of first-anniversary celebrations. Major initiatives include: Elevated corridors and bridges, construction of a Rs 2,232 crore elevated corridor on Rajiv Rahadari Road in Alwal, Secunderabad; foundation stone laid for a Rs 1,580 crore double-decker elevated corridor on the Hyderabad-Nagpur National Highway; a Rs 360 crore four-lane bridge near Mir Alam Lake, ongoing development of six major junctions near KBR Park at Rs 826 crore to reduce traffic bottlenecks.
