Andhra Pradesh passes resolution for High Court bench in Kurnool
India TodayThe Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution to establish a permanent bench of the High Court in Kurnool. The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the offices of the Lokayukta and Human Rights Commission would remain in Kurnool, emphasising his government’s commitment to balanced regional development. Criticising the previous government’s three-capital policy, Naidu asserted that Amaravati would remain the sole capital and assured that his Telugu Desam Party would drive the state’s comprehensive progress. FOCUS ON RAYALASEEMA Naidu outlined ambitious plans for Rayalaseema, including transforming Tirupati into an education hub with institutions like IIT, IIIT, an Urdu university in Kurnool and a central university in Anantapur. Naidu assured that all promises made during the Yuva Galam pada yatra would be fulfilled, emphasising the TDP’s vision of equitable development for the entire state.
