Anurag Kashyap quits Twitter, says daughter was being threatened
Op IndiaTwo days ahead of release of second season of Sacred Games on Netflix, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has quit Twitter by deactivating his Twitter account. “Thugs will rule and thuggery will be the new way of life,” he said while congratulating everyone on the ‘new India’, taking a jibe at Prime Minister Modi’s campaign for New India. The Gangs of Wasseypur director, who had earlier defended Tarun Tejpal in rape case, also identifies himself as an ‘achiever’ and recently wrote to PM Modi on ‘rising intolerance‘. Kashyap, who is reluctant to accept the communal nature of the incident as it destructs their ‘Dara Hua Musalman’ narrative went on to proclaim that there was no rape or any other sort of brutality against the child and accused people of creating an atmosphere of riots using the incident.
