AIADMK urges Corporation officials to remove accumulated garbage
The HinduThe AIADMK has urged the Corporation officials to take immediate steps to remove the garbage accumulated in wards 37 and 38 to avert outbreak of communicable diseases. Sundar of ward 43 submitted a petition urging the officials to take immediate steps for supplying clean and safe drinking water to the residents, who were getting badly contaminated water for the past two months. The residents of Medina Nagar and Sardarpuram in ward 17 submitted a petition praying for drinking water and road facility in their area housing around 200 families. Residents from Shanmathi Nagar and R.K. Housing New Colony complained that the sewage flowing from the damaged underground drainage pipes had created a pool in their area to cause serious health hazards. A group of residents from Kakkan Nagar, New Colony and Sangeetha Nagar in ward 5 submitted a petition to re-lay the roads in their area, which were dug for laying underground drainage pipes four months ago.
