NSW bushfires see catastrophic fire danger issued for Greater Sydney, Illawarra and Southern Ranges

NSW RFS Deputy Commissioner Rob Rogers said the forecast of extreme weather on Saturday throughout the state would bring "major problems". Mr Rogers said the Gospers Mountain fire was causing problems at the Lithgow end and was expected to move towards Kurrajong Heights tomorrow.
