The news was revealed by James Corden who announced the special will air this Christmas, bringing back co-writer and star Ruth Jones, Mathew Horne, Joanna Page and Rob Brydon. Gavin & Stacey first aired on BBC Three in 2007 and ended with its third series on New Year’s Day in 2010. Six months later, Nessa and baby Neil are living in Barry Island with Smithy while Stacey is expecting her first baby with Gavin. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen.” Gavin & Stacey will return for a one-off special this Christmas on BBC One.
