One person dead, multiple injured after head-on crash on remote northern Goldfields road

A woman is dead and four people are seriously injured after a head-on crash between two cars in the remote Goldfields region of WA on Sunday morning. Police say a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Nissan Navara were involved in the crash on the Great Central Road at Tjukayirla, 170 kilometres south-west of Warburton. Police, St John Ambulance, and the Royal Flying Doctor Service were sent to the remote crash site after an emergency beacon was activated about 8am. Police said the driver of the Land Cruiser did not appear to be seriously injured and was being taken to hospital by road.
