Justice Chandrachud calls out court registry for deleting cases without informing judges

Supreme Court Judge Justice DY Chandrachud on Monday rapped the court registry for deleting matters posted for the day without informing the judges. Addressing the Court Master, Justice Chandrachud said: “Registry kyu delete karte hai matter? Unko bolo agar delete karte hai toh bata de.” Justice Chandrachud wanted the Registry to at least inform the judges beforehand if any case was deleted for whatever reasons. Justice Chandrachud also told the Court Master that the Registry should explain to the court by afternoon as to why the case was deleted.
