Alappuzha: Act for Kerala, a 1.2-min video put out by the UAE vlogged Khalid Al-Ameri seeking support for Kerala soon after the flood, continues to create flutter online. For the last five months, mainly during the stand-off between the Union and the state over accepting the UAE aid, it grabbed the attention of two million people online. Mr Ameri was carrying a poster etched with the catchword “Act for Kerala” on the video seeking emotional and financial support for Kerala. The 34-year-old born and raised in Abu Dhabi to an Emirati father and Scottish mother is a popular vlogger in the UAE with over one million followers across the world.
