Auto Sector Hiring in India Continues to Improve, Sees 29% Sequential Growth in Sept: Report
News 18Hiring in India's auto sector continued to improve with a 29 per cent sequential growth in September this year although it remains below the pre-COVID-19 period, according to leading online job site Naukri.com. "When we compare the performance of this sector between the pre and post-COVID-19 period, there has been an evident recovery, but it still remains down by 25 per cent in September versus the pre-COVID-19 period," it said. The hiring trend improved gradually over the months and in August it was down 42 per cent when compared to the pre-COVID-19 period, the company said. Roles such as project manager manufacturing, service maintenance engineer and production manager – have seen a 57 per cent, 46 per cent and 22 per cent growth in demand year-on-year, respectively, it added.
