After recording the statement submitted by the counsel for the Central Board of Secondary Education that the board and the principal has decided that the same question papers will be set for all the examinees for all the future examinations to be held in 2018 and onwards, and the question papers shall be in English, Hindi and other vernacular languages, the bench ordered: “It is ordered accordingly that all the examinations in future be held by the CBSE, be held on the basis of the similar questions papers for all the examinees, and the question papers shall be in English, Hindi and other vernacular languages.” The bench disposed of the SLPs filed against the orders passed by Madurai bench of Madras High Court, wherein it had granted an interim stay on release of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test UG examination results, which were scheduled to be declared on June 8. In the said order, the Madurai bench had observed: “Any admission of student is made in pursuant to the NEET exam conducted on 07-05-2017, it would destroy the object of NEET discriminate the candidates and the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court since the Hon’ble Supreme Court very categorically held that uniformed entrance exam shall be conducted in Hindi, English and other languages.”
