Maha Kumbh: We tracked flights over Prayagraj. Here's what we found

The small airport in Prayagraj welcomed about five flights on a typical day. At least 372 scheduled and chartered flights landed in Prayagraj between January 12, when the Maha Kumbh began, and February 6, according to an analysis by India Today’s Open-Source Intelligence team. According to the DGCA, 132 flights were expected monthly during the Maha Kumbh, offering around 80,000 seats from 17 cities across India. VIPs JET TO MAHA KUMBH IN PRIVATE PLANES During the analyzed period, at least 20 private jets landed in Prayagraj, carrying VIPs from cities across India and abroad, according to Flightradar24 data. The UP government’s official Hawker 900XP and the Haryana government’s Beech King Air 250 aircraft also ferried government officials to the Maha Kumbh.
