BJP MPs, injured in Parliament face-off, discharged from Delhi hospital
India TodayTwo BJP MPs who were injured during a scuffle between the Opposition INDIA bloc and ruling NDA members on the Parliamentary premises were discharged from Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Monday, December 23. BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi from Odisha's Balasore and Mukesh Rajput from Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad suffered head injuries in the face-off and were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on December 19 for treatment. A face-off between the opposition and NDA MPs in Parliament premises over the alleged insult to BR Ambedkar left Sarangi and Rajput injured. On December 19, trouble began when the INDIA bloc members insisted on entering Parliament through the BJP MPs holding a protest instead of using the space left empty on one side of the staircase of the Makar Dwar, used by members to enter and exit the building.
