Steve Borthwick is appointed England's new head coach

England have appointed Steve Borthwick as their new head coach just nine months before the 2023 World Cup gets underway in France. Steve Borthwick has replaced Eddie Jones as England's new head coach on a five-year deal Jones was relieved of his duties earlier this month after a disappointing 2022 Speaking following his appointment, Borthwick said: 'I'm deeply honoured to be appointed England head coach, and I am very excited by the challenge. 'The hard work starts now and planning for the Guinness Six Nations and Rugby World Cup begins today. Kevin Sinfield has also joined the England setup as the new Defence Coach Sinfield also departs Welford Road to continue his partnership with Borthwick, and has expressed his excitement at taking on a new challenge.
