The HinduThe announcement by Tamil Nadu Finance Minister that the State government would form a committee soon to examine the modalities and implement the pension scheme for employees was nothing but a delaying tactic, said Tamil Nadu Revenue Officers Association State president M.P. The Finance Minister had said that the Tamil Nadu government would weigh the pros and cons of the deliberations of the T.V. The Chief Minister must implement the Old Pension Scheme as promised immediately in the larger interests of the State government employees and teachers. Now, when the Chief Minisater had himself stated that the State’s finances had improved, what prevented him from not giving it to the employees, Mr. Murugaiyan asked and hoped the Finance Minister would consider favourably and order for payment of the leave salary with arrears with retrospective effect from 2020.
