Traders' body CAIT says Delhi Budget 'disappointing'

One of the largest traders' bodies in Delhi said 2023 Budget tabled on Wednesday was 'disappointing'. The Confederation of All India Traders Association said that five markets and a big trade fair were promised but nothing happened in that aspect. "It is disappointing that not a single scheme was announced for the trading community nor a policy measure to streamline trade and commerce in Delhi," Praveen Khandelwal, secretary general of CAIT said. "In the previous year's Budget, it was promised to develop five markets in Delhi and to hold a big trade fair in Delhi, but nothing happened to these promises.
