'Going to need Democrats': CNN panelist gives GOP operative a swift reality check

Former Biden White House official Meghan Hays gave Republican operative Matt Gorman a reality check after he boldly predicted that Republicans would be able to score big legislative wins despite having a razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives. In breaking down the coming fight over whether to give House Speaker Mike Johnson another shot at holding the gavel in Congress, Hays said that Republicans would have to suck it up and compromise with Democrats to get anything done given the recalcitrance of so many of their members. "They're going to need Democratic help to get Johnson reelected as speaker," she said.
