Two young women in Telangana’s Secunderabad were forced to keep their mother's body at home for nearly a week due to financial hardship before authorities intervened. Her daughters, 25-year-old Ravalika, who works at a saree shop, and 22-year-old Ashvitha, an event planner, were unable to afford her cremation. The sisters stayed in a separate room while their mother’s body remained in another.
