With the exception of a few buzz words here and there, the Seahawks’ offensive players have treated the details of Shane Waldron’s new offense like state secrets. Collier spent two seasons practicing against Brian Schottenheimer’s offense and the first words he used to describe Waldron’s scheme were “faster, more hungry.” He said from the first day of practice this offseason he noticed a difference in the speed of the offense. So it’s notable that his description of the new offense started with the word “complex.” “You have to be really focused,” said Amadi, who also is auditioning to be the backup free safety. DK, Lock, all these guys are getting open and stuff is just hitting you quick.” Expanding on the inability to anticipate Seattle’s offense, Amadi said: “They play with their splits. That’s what you want out of a DB.” After Brown’s pass breakup, Tre Flowers ended the day completely for the starters, deflecting a deep comeback route intended for Metcalf near the sideline on third down.
