Telangana: CID To Probe Medipally Child Trafficking Case

Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department has taken over investigation of the entire child trafficking racket after a case was busted by the Rachakonda police. It must be recalled that kingpin of the Medipally child trafficking case is yet to be arrested, a senior police officer told Deccan Chronicle. Medipally police had busted the child trafficking case in coordination of Akshara Jyoti NGO on May 21. It was subsequently revealed that 15 childless couples are victims as the notorious traffickers cheated them while stating that all legal adoption formalities were being followed, a police officer said.
