A video clip of the exchange has provoked a strong reaction on Twitter, with many praising Long’s professionalism and condemning Carrey’s actions. Another wrote: “Look up ‘sleazeball’ in the dictionary and there’s a photo of @JimCarrey.” One Twitter user also took objection to Carrey’s behaviour, saying: “Why is it ever necessary to do this? I’ve gone right off him.” Carrey recently landed in hot water for his comments about Margot Robbie’s appearance during an interview on The Graham Norton Show.
