Angels may ask court to block Anaheim from adding fire station to Angel Stadium lot

The Angels signal they plan to sue Anaheim over the construction of a fire station in the parking lot of Angel Stadium. The new issue: Anaheim plans to build a fire station in the Angel Stadium parking lot, which the Angels say the city has no unilateral right to do. In August, the city council approved a contract for the fire station, in order to accommodate development in the so-called Platinum Triangle area, including the “OC Vibe” entertainment village around Honda Center. The city believes the fire station could be constructed without taking away any parking spaces from the Angels and would benefit all parties in the area, including the Angels and their fans.
