T20 World Cup: Rashid Khan steps down as Afghanistan captain over selection controversy
India TodayAfghanistan captain Rashid Khan has stepped down from his post as captain of the T20 team with immediate effect as he was not happy with the squad that the board announced for the upcoming World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Afghanistan cricket board had announced the national team for the World Cup just minutes before Rashid Khan's sensational decision to resign. Rashid, who is the world’s top-ranked bowler in Twenty20s, was named Afghanistan captain for the T20 World Cup in July.
