Iqbal Mirchi's Worli properties worth Rs 2,000 used for terror financing: ED
India TodayThe Enforcement Directorate has argued in court that properties in Worli belonging to gangster Iqbal Mirchi is estimated to be almost Rs 2,000 crore and could have been used for terror financing. Ranjeet Bindra, believed to be the brother-in-law of Congress leader Baba Siddiqui, was arrested earlier by ED officers in connection with the facilitation of sale and development of three prime properties belong to the late gangster Mirchi, who died in London in 2013. ED had also arrested two people on October 11 for allegedly helping and facilitating Iqbal Mirchi in acquiring the properties valued at thousands of crores. ED has also summoned Iqbal Mirchi's wife Hazra and two sons, Asif and Junaid, but they have not appeared in front of the agency.
