Huff PostLOADING ERROR LOADING WASHINGTON ― Sen. Elissa Slotkin warned that President Donald Trump’s policies will raise costs for consumers and kick people off health care in the official rebuttal to his joint address to Congress on Tuesday. “President Trump is trying to deliver an unprecedented giveaway to his billionaire friends,” Slotkin said. Rep. Melanie Stansbury held a sign next to Trump as he walked into the chamber that said, “This is not normal.” Members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus also held up signs that said, “False” and “Musk steals.” Many of Trump’s claims were met with boos and laughter from the Democratic side of the aisle. Frost wore a shirt with the words, “No Kings Live Here.” “Tonight, the American people saw a desperate liar stand in front of a podium and spit out excuse after excuse as to why he hasn’t been able to make your life better,” Frost said in a statement.
