‘Ashwin is difficult to face, the biggest challenge…’: Australia batter Matt Renshaw before India Test series
Hindustan TimesWith 500 Test wickets in his sight - Ashwin is one wicket away from becoming only the second Indian cricketer to grab 450 Test wickets after the legendary Anil Kumble - Ravichandran Ashwin, quite understandably, will be one of the biggest threats for any side touring India. No wonder, Australia batter Matt Renshaw termed Ashwin as one of the biggest challenges for him and in their batting unit which has a number of left-handers in David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head and himself in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting February 9. Renshaw indicated Australia should be wary of Ashwin's delivery that doesn't spin and has caused a lot of LBW dismissals. "The SG ball is a bit different, so we are just trying to prepare as well as we can during this BBL schedule if we get a window to hit red balls," said Renshaw.
