China Daily"China's 'Green Great Wall' Goes Global" side event takes place on Friday at the China Pavilion during the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. On that day, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China held a side event about "China's 'Green Great Wall' Goes Global", showcasing the significant achievements and experiences gained over more than 40 years of the Three-North Shelterbelt Program. Since the initiation of the Three-North Shelterbelt Program in 1978, the afforestation conservation area has reached 31.74 million hectares, yielding significant ecological, economic, and social benefits, according to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. Heads of state, ambassadors, government officials, experts, and scholars from over 90 countries have visited the China Pavilion to exchange experiences in ecological governance.
