"A small increased risk of pericarditis and/or myocarditis has been observed in people who have received an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine … compared to unvaccinated people," the department says. "We've heard from some businesses in our membership that expect to have the vast majority of their staff refusing to get vaccinated," he said. "The impact of workers in mandated occupations remaining unvaccinated would have a far greater potential impact on the economy than any resulting from unvaccinated people choosing to leave their occupations," the statement said.
