Apple Vision Pro 2 Powered By M5 Chip Might Launch In 2026, Here's All You Need To Know

Apple is reportedly working on a follow-up to its Vision Pro, the company's first mixed-reality headset, though the next iteration is unlikely to be released before 2026. In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman reveals that Apple’s roadmap for 2025 does not feature any new Vision Pro hardware. The upcoming device is expected to be powered by Apple’s M5 chipset, an upgrade from the M2 SoC currently driving the first-generation Vision Pro. In parallel, Apple is also prioritising the development of a more affordable Vision Pro model, which Gurman describes as a “more urgent goal.” While no specific launch timeline has been disclosed, earlier reports hint that this budget-friendly version may not debut until after 2027.
