DK Shivakumar slams PM's Lok Sabha speech: Congress gave him all the rights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Congress on Saturday, accusing the grand old party of disrespecting not only the Indian Constitution but also its own internal democratic processes. Participating in the special discussion on the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, PM Modi alleged that the Congress sidelined democratic sentiment within the party to favour Jawaharlal Nehru as Prime Minister and Congress President, even though its state units had shown support for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Speaking to reporters, DK Shivakumar said, "The Prime Minister should know that Congress has given him all rights — with the Constitution, the national flag, the national anthem, and independence.
