MP: Shivraj Rolls Out Housing Plan For Poor

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday declared to launch a scheme to provide free houses for the homeless in the state. In his state level Independence Day address here, Mr Chouhan said that 44 lakh houses were constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Hence, he has decided to launch Mukhya Mantri Jan Awas Yojana for those who have been left out of the two housing schemes to provide them free houses, Mr Chouhan said. Mr Chouhan said that the state had lacked basic amenities like roads, electricity and drinking water during the previous Congress regime in Madhya Pradesh.
