Centre directs Delhi Govt to prepare action plan for unauthorised colonies

The Central Government on Tuesday directed the Delhi Government to prepare a detailed action plan aimed at improving basic amenities in the unauthorised colonies in the city. Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu convened a meeting on Tuesday regarding the issue which was attended by Delhi Chief Secretary D.M Spolia. Besides, the authorities have also been asked to prepare a detailed plan on how relief on certain fronts could be provided to the residents in around 700 unauthorised colonies awaiting regularisation,” an informed source said. Delhi BJP leaders led by president Satish Upadhyay had recently met Mr. Naidu demanding the Central Government to give permission for regularising colonies which have come up till 2013.
