Exploring how Giants will attack upgrading at QB this offseason
As co-owner John Mara said earlier this month, fixing the quarterback position is the “No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft, Schoen highlighted the Giants’ available cap space for the next two seasons. We’ll take a more thorough dive into this market as the offseason progresses and their options become more apparent, but the headliner of the group may well be Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold. And Sanders wasn’t even a top-five pick in the mock with the Giants passing on him in favor of his teammate, CB/WR Travis Hunter before selecting Alabama QB Jalen Milroe at the top of the second round.. Of course, that’s just one mock draft, and it would be surprising if the Giants did decide to pass on Ward or Sanders if one was available at No. The key to remember at this point is that we’re still early in the Giants’ offseason, and we don’t yet know which veteran QBs will be available in free agency or via trade.
