SCS not merely a demand, but AP’s right: YSRC

Vijayawada: YSRC Rajya Sabha member Y.V. Subba Reddy asserted in the Rajya Sabha that special category status for Andhra Pradesh is not merely a demand, but a right of the people of Andhra Pradesh, which has suffered immensely due to an unjust bifurcation. Speaking on the Motion of Thanks to the President's address to Parliament, he pointed out that the Telugu Desam is in power in Andhra Pradesh and sharing power with the NDA government at the centre. “So, it is high time Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu prevailed upon the centre to grant special category status to the state,” Subba Reddy underlined. He reminded the centre that there are many pending issues following the truncation of Andhra Pradesh State.
