How Moving to Hong Kong Changed My View on Accessibility
“I got the job. Obviously, plenty of wheelchair users live in Hong Kong, but it seemed absolutely extreme for us to add one more complication to our already full lineup. But Hong Kong’s public transit is a godsend for the blind, wheelchair users, epileptic persons, and more. It’s an oversimplification, but I find public spaces and transportation easier to navigate from a wheelchair in Hong Kong, but commercial and private spaces are easier in the U.S. Jason Dorwart in Hong Kong Courtesy Jason Dorwart, PhD Hong Kong’s stores are tight for everybody, not just wheelchair users.
