Read our privacy policy Love Island's 2020 winter series has been cancelled by ITV, meaning the reality show will not return to screens until summer 2021. The winter version of the series, which aired for the first time last year and was shot in South Africa, will not go ahead because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to The Sun. To make up for its absence, the next series of Love Island will have an extended run beyond the usual eight weeks. An ITV spokesman said: "Love Island UK will return bigger and better than ever with an extended run in summer 2021."
