Apple says it will create 20,000 new jobs in US and build Apple Intelligence servers
India TodayAfter comments from the US President Donald Trump that Apple is planning to invest "hundreds of billions of dollars" in the country, Apple put out a press release on Monday to announce that it will be investing $500 billion in the US over the next four years. “We are bullish on the future of American innovation, and we’re proud to build on our long-standing US investments with this $500 billion commitment to our country’s future,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook. Apple says that its $500 billion investment will cover its partnerships with thousands of suppliers nationwide, direct employment, Apple Intelligence infrastructure, data centers, corporate offices, and Apple TV+ productions across 20 states. The company has also announced that it will be setting up Apple Intelligence servers in Houston, Texas, which will become operational starting next year. “Apple and partners will open a new advanced manufacturing facility in Houston to produce servers that support Apple Intelligence, the personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done,” the press release reads.
