Transcript of President Joe Biden’s second State of the Union address, as prepared for delivery and as provided by the White House: Mr. Speaker. That’s going to come from companies that have announced more than $300 billion in investments in American manufacturing in the last two years. Other Republicans say if we don’t cut Social Security and Medicare, they’ll let America default on its debt for the first time in our history. Let’s also make sure working parents can afford to raise a family with sick days, paid family and medical leave, and affordable child care that will enable millions more people to go to work. Let’s also pass the bipartisan Equality Act to ensure LGBTQ Americans, especially transgender young people, can live with safety and dignity.
