NRL star-turned-TV host Beau Ryan on being underestimated

Daily Mail

Retired NRL star and radio presenter Beau Ryan has landed his first TV hosting gig with The Amazing Race Australia. 'Nothing has been handed to me': NRL star-turned-TV host Beau Ryan, 34, told The Daily Telegraph on Friday that he's often 'underestimated' and has worked hard in his career 'I was probably underestimated when I played because I was not a bigger guy and not the fastest and strongest guy, but I worked really hard to get to where I was and changed clubs when I had to,' Beau said. Pictured in 2014 Not just jokes: Beau went on to say that despite the many pranks he plays on punters with his KIIS FM Kyle and Jackie O radio gig, he's a man of substance Network 10 brought the franchise back after a five-year hiatus, and the show sees teams take part in challenges all over the world, in pursuit of the $250,000 prize. Solid gig: Beau has signed on to host two more seasons of The Amazing Race Australia.
