2023 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations
Deccan ChronicleMTV announced the second batch of nominations for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. On September 1, MTV revealed this year’s nominees for four Video Music Awards: Song of Summer, Show of the Summer, Group of the Year, and Album of the Year. Jungkook was nominated for his official solo debut single “Seven” featuring Latto, TXT for their Jonas Brothers collab “Do It Like That,” and FIFTY FIFTY for their viral hit “Cupid.” Meanwhile, BLACKPINK was nominated for Show of the Summer for their ongoing “BORN PINK” world tour. Significantly, the K-pop girls band, BLACKPINK, earned the most nominations of any group this year, having been nominated for six different awards, in addition to Show of the Summer and Group of the Year. As previously announced, this year’s nominees for Best K-Pop are aespa’s “Girls,” BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom,” FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid,” SEVENTEEN’s “Super,” Stray Kids’ “S-Class,” and TXT’s “Sugar Rush Ride.” The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards will go live on September 12 at 8 p.m.
