Trucks operated for NH construction works exempted from daytime ban

Heavy trucks used for delivering construction materials for national highway widening works have been exempted from the regulations imposed on tipper lorries during daytime. The registration numbers of vehicles used by the National Highways Authority of India will be submitted to the RTO. According to NHAI officials, restrictions on daytime tipper lorry services have hindered the timely delivery of construction materials for highway widening works. They said lorry operators were forced to suspend services during the morning and evening hours when work was in full swing.
