Has the Reserve Bank's much hoped for "gentle turning point" become a "turn for the worse"? That would sit comfortably with RBA's commitment "to expect that an extended period of low interest rates will be required" while it could also lift core inflation by 0.2 percentage points on JP Morgan's modelling. "Central banks have turned the liquidity taps back on again," Citi's global credit strategist Matt King says.
